The “Alinda” hotel is the first and the most famous hotel of the island; in its yard an Old Christian church of the 4th century was found, Panayia Galatiani, with mosaics of rare art.
In the area around there are many churches, the biggest of which is the Ayioi Saranta basilica. Very close to Alinda is Krifos, a small idyllic sandy beach hidden among the rocks, accessible only by boat. A spring of cold water gushes from its seabed. Above Krifos is Klidi, the highest point of Leros. The blue, clear waters of Alinda are mostly suitable for swimming and every kind of water sport.
